Just open the app. Pip greets your child and points to the desert, where the first dinosaur lies buried. Pip explains everything else with his voice and gestures, so no reading is needed.

Level 1 for 3 years, level 2 for 4–5 years, level 3 for 6–8 years. We recommend Dinori from age 3. If in doubt, choose the younger level: if it gets too easy, you can switch at any time. Progress so far is kept.

Android phones and tablets. The version for iPhone and iPad will follow later. Dinori is played in landscape. On tablets the pieces are larger, which particularly helps the youngest players.

German and English. In German, Dinori is fully voiced. The English voice-over is being recorded right now. The app follows the system language. In the parents’ area you can also set the language permanently, for example for bilingual families.

In the Explorer Tent on the island there is an inconspicuous sign for parents. When you tap it, a sum written out in words appears. Solve it and you are in the parents’ area. After three wrong answers, the sign is locked for a short while.

Create, rename and delete profiles, the age level for each child, language and voice, music, sound effects and voice output, the play-time reminder, buying the full version and restoring the purchase. You will also find the privacy policy, the legal notice and the version number there.

The German paediatric guidelines recommend no screen time for children under three and no more than 30 minutes a day for three- to six-year-olds, ideally with an adult. That is why we recommend Dinori from age 3. The play-time reminder helps you keep track of the time.

You choose a play time in minutes. When it is up, Pip suggests that the dinosaurs want to sleep now. There is no abrupt stop in the middle of a dig, so saying goodbye can happen without tears.

The demo has one profile, the full version up to four. Each profile has its own dinosaurs, its own park and its own learning progress.

In the parents’ area, under the profile in question. Resetting asks for confirmation first and cannot be undone. A purchase of the full version is not affected.

The demo is free and has no ads. You unlock the full version with a single purchase. The store shows the current price. There is no subscription and there are no further purchases.

For example, after switching devices or reinstalling:

1. Sign in with the same Google account that was used for the purchase.
2. Open Dinori and go to the parents’ area.
3. Tap “Restore purchase”. This briefly needs an internet connection.

The app also checks the purchase automatically when it starts. Dinori saves the game progress itself only on the device. It therefore does not move to a new device automatically.

The purchase is linked to your store account. On any device with the same account, you can unlock it via “Restore purchase”. On a single device, it applies to every profile.

Refunds are handled by Google Play. You can request one via Google’s refund page. We have no access to payments ourselves, but we are happy to help if something doesn’t work.

Check the device volume. In the parents’ area, music, sound effects and voice output can each be switched on and off separately.

Close Dinori completely and open it again. If that doesn’t help, please write to us with your device, system version and app version. As Dinori does not send crash reports, we rely on your description, and every one helps us a lot.

Dinori contains a lot of pictures and voice recordings so that everything works offline. The store shows the exact size before installation.
